Dear readers, today opens a new solar year for the world history. Our association would like to ask, therefore, best wishes to you all because this is represents a better year.
For us, the Youth Alternative year was important but not easy. E 'was primarily the year of Alternative News, the newspaper that because of the sacrifice and the help of some of you were present in the social life of the country but also the year that the nature of things we could not achieve other practical steps . Therefore a difficult year, which requires us to look to the future with hope but also with great humility and realism. We can not be considered a critical situation, unfortunately, of our reality.
Monday, 30 we held the usual meeting of members at year end, in four who were not was difficult to look at each other and understand well the reality that has been and what will be. The economic situation (the budget will be available online in the next few days) is practiced in the past, many times we were forced to self-assessed in order to publish any number of our newspaper as receipts of the few local sponsors were not enough even for the ink . But it was not only an economic standpoint to worry but above all social. We can not hide behind a finger, we understood that the verdict of the majority of our citizens against our initiatives has been largely critical. Although we have exposed several times, including in a personal, against the powers that institutions that prevailed the normal rights of citizens, they were themselves so often to criticize strongly discrediting of everything, often falling into insults. Avoiding unnecessary beating about the bush, we must say that this is a difficult country, a country (talking about the majority of citizens) who might not want to change, a country that does not stimulate and cut the legs of young people who want the common good. Unfortunately, the summary of our little meeting was this and honestly with these assumptions is by no means easy to find solutions, to find hope. But if the gritty realism is one of our mottos has always been, even the tendency to give up was not always our strong point. We want to have hope, we will not give up because the will is there, the will as well but it is clear that under these conditions would be wrong to play a "therapeutic obstinacy" that would become unnecessary and unproductive.
"continue to exist or give up?" This question is not as we would like to be forced to respond, but the public will have to do that that we exist. It is with this name who this month will launch a membership campaign, where every supporter will be able to decide, with a small symbolic contribution, if Alternative Youth will continue to exist.
