Nomenclature of plants

In botanical nomenclature, there are always two names: a generic name followed by a specific epithet, also the species name is followed by the name of the person who first published the epithet.
For example, "Toxicodendron radicans (L.) O. Ktze " (L.) refers to Linnaeus, who first applied the epithet " radicans " O. Ktze stands for Otto Kuntze, who moved to first "radicans" in the genus Toxicodendron .

The generic and specific epithets include minor categories of the nomenclature, while the groups sopragenerici show the natural relationship between plants and include the minor categories of the nomenclature.

names plants are generally stable but at times can change, if research shows that a group that believed in reality it is not natural.

For the identification of the plant are necessary for its champions, in particular grass plants can be harvested intact, while the woody plants must be gathered with about 10 cm of their branches, including the leaves, flowers or fruits.
